I'm customising a New Jersey Devils home jersey like in the picture (i.e. LUCIFER, #666). Taking #66 would disrespect Lemieux, so that was not an option.

Would Lucifer be the captain, alternate, or neither?

Also, should I do the numbers on the arms horizontally or vertically (see other picture)?
