The associates git gud by being exposed to top tiems regularly, like Argentina was in the RC, not in one competition every 4 years.
If you want to 'grow the game' then you need the top8 teams playing against 10-16 regularly.
it's not about 'taking opportunities away from Scotland', just making the pinnacle event of the sport competitive enough to live up to its hype.

Cricket television is based on Indian viewership and the curries aren't going to watch that. A better option would be giving every franchise in the IPL, BBL etc a slot for associate players. That way the like of Rambo, Stirling etc can git gud and then take their skillz back home with them.
Also need to ban Englel poaching players.
