I think I ended up walking that atbat somehow, didn't swing at a single pitch after. I couldn't open/close my hand without pain so I exited the game and found out that I had broken my hand.
Second worse wasn't a HBP, but I managed to foul three consecutive pitches off of my shin in generally the same spot. That hurt more than any HBP I've ever had and by night my shin area was swollen as fuck.
On the other end, I've beaned my fair share of hitters as a pitcher but the scariest was when one guy was squared up to bunt on a sacrifice and a fastball got away from me and as he turned away, it ended up hitting him straight in the back of the neck. He went down immediately and didn't move for like 2 seconds and I honestly thought I just paralyzed someone. He got up and walked it off and I did the worst thing possible after that: I beaned the next batter (accidentally!) and the other team started jawing and my coach pulled me from the game.
Fun times.
