Hard to be upset about this one honestly. The Mets offense has been frustrating to watch but I'm not sure it would have mattered. Kudos to the Royals offense because they game planned for Harvey and degrom and it worked. They took away the strikeout and it makes a huge difference. As much as the headlines are gonna say this game was all about Cueto out pitching deGrom I'm not sure that's what happened. Cueto hardly looked amazing, Mets offense just couldn't capitalize on the walks and have just generally looked awful. I think degrom pitched a lot better than the stat line says, his stuff looked good. Once again I give all credit to the Royals hitters for taking away the strikeout.
Gg Royals. Just gotta hope the off day and going back home helps this team out and they can come up with a plan to turn things around.
