'Support your local team' is the most bullshit thing ever! I live in the Netherlands. I live near the place Emmen. That's a small city with a population of 100.000 in the east of the Netherlands. In the 2nd league in the Netherlands played FC Emmen.. yes, Emmen.. the city I live near of it. But I have absolutely not a feeling with FC Emmen! Maybe a soccer team you know is FC Twente, PEC Zwolle or FC Groningen. This teams are playing in the first division of the Netherlands. I have to travel 30 minutes to go to this clubs, but I also don't have a feeling with it! I have a feeling with Feyenoord Rotterdam! Rotterdam.. a big city in the Netherlands. I live 2 hours from Rotterdam. (Yes, The Netherlands is very small and easy! With 3 hours you are from the North of the Netherlands to the South of The Netherlands. The biggest cities are Amsterdam (Ajax) and Rotterdam (Feyenoord). In 30 minutes you are from Amsterdam to Rotterdam! Why do I like Feyenoord? Very simple. The first time I was watching football was in 1999. In 1999 Feyenoord was the champion of the Dutch league.. It was my first time I was seriously watching football! And now.. I am always to the matches of Feyenoord. That's my reason to support Feyenoord. I am supporting Feyenoord because my feeling of it! I am not supporting FC Emmen or FC Groningen because they are my 'local teams'.
