Obviously something drove the NFL to try and punish the Patriots but it goes much deeper than balls being under pressure. When you have all other QBs and even elite QBs like Rodgers saying they like the balls alittle under deflated or over deflated. Some other underlying issue caused the NFL to try and punish the Patriots. Maybe it was part spygate and other cheating in the past, I don't know but it has witch hunt written all over it. I mean the refs touch the footballs between EVERY SINGLE PLAY so either they are incompetent or in on the cheating.

So, guys. We all know the MVP is a QB award. This much is obvious. In order for a non - QB to win the award they have to have such an astronomically record breaking year that they have no choice BUT to get the award. However, this seems to me to be a little unfair to other positions. With that in mind, why not create a QB - only award (i.e. The Cy Young in MLB) in order to give QBS they respect they deserve while also acknowledging other positions with the MVP (unless of course a QB has such an astronomically record breaking year that they have no choice but to get MVP as well)
