What's everyone up to breachside?

I'm trying to put together a Lucius build for my first M2E crew. I played Leveticus back in the dark times of first edition, and never tried 1.5. How's this?

49ss if I did the math right, mostly trying to build out of the starter box. Dashel and one lawyer stick close to the riflemen to provide buffs and keep those horror checks from Lucius under control. The beckoners and the second lawyer drag targets into (or out of) position. Lucius and the scribe enjoy a merry stroll shouting orders at people and occasionally rolling out the red tape.

We just used various zombie miniatures from Pathfinder or Dungeons and Dragons to tide us over. The Wyrd site has previews up of 3d rendering for Guild Autopsies so I take it that it won't be long before they are out in the new year.

How do you convince someone the problem is not that they ruined McMourning in M2E, but that leaving him within 6" of Howard Langston when you have no cards and I have 3 cards is fucking stupid

Hey thanks for the advice, I went ahead and got the strongarm and hannah on the way and will pick up the freikorp starter next week.
Is there any model to avoid, or ones that are very tricky for a newcomer or are freikorps fairly easy to learn?

Also I saw that some models can summon new models into play and one of the mercenaries I can take is a wretch that throws rats, would I have to buy rats to get thrown or does she generate them?

It just sounds hilarious for a hardcore strike team of steam marines to include some rat-slinging slut.

Freikorps are very straightforward in general.

Obedient Wretch works best in Hamelin crews, but if you really want to you can take her. You'll need to have the rat models, but since she summons rats, you don't pay soulstones for the ones she summons.

Summoning are free.
One way to go with her is to just keep throwing rats upon rats, this will ensure you have the activation advantage and if you throw enough rats they can become rat king which can also be turned into more stuff.
But do mind that chick is non-mercenary so the leader must be a outcast leader.
The dreamer, hamelin, levictus, tara and colledi are not ideal for beginners due to weird activation, strange mechanics or just low range of thematic models.

Well, here's the rub. Trixibell is worth getting the Bushwhacker box for. Old Cranky is worth getting the Ulix box for as he is hands-down the best totem gremlins have available. Wong is the best new master unless you're doing a mostly hog crew. Trixibell with the gun upgrade and Wong's glowy is fucking amazing (ignores nearly every defensinve ability in the game and dishes out a high damage spread). Killing an ice golem in one activation is brutal.

There's further synergy with Wong and Trixibell as they both have abilities to move around your scheme markers, so you can drop them near where you'll want them at the end of the game without really letting your opponent on to what your actual objective was. Having them strewn in odd places only to pull off a seemingly impossible line in the sand scheme on the last turn is brilliant.

I'd mostly avoid the Levi, Hamelin, and Daw thematic stuff for Outcasts if you want straightforward models. Some of Tara's stuff can be a little odd if you really get into bury/fast mechanics but I think she is the simplest of the four complex masters in Outcasts. Just like first edition the Viktoria's are probably the best compliment to the Freikorp. The starter gives you another heavy lifter in Tara, a more solid minion in the Ronin, and a good totem option in the Student of Conflict.

Even though you already have two high cost models in the strongarm and Hannah, I'd still strongly recommend grabbing Lazarus. Everybody's favorite Guild hating, grenade launching, robot did join the 'korp this edition after all. While Hannah is a near auto include when paired with a librarian or two, Lazaros and a Strongarm let you pick from a strong melee or ranged piece.

Gracie or the Whiskey Golem?

Gracie isn't anywhere as fast, but its a lot sturdier, and a ram turns her attack into a 4/6/8, which should take care of most things she runs into. She can also give herself the Reactive condition.

The Whiskey Golem is fast, hits hard, and can bump its Df up to 7.

There's no direct comparison, but Gremlins do have plenty of hard hitters in their roster.

Pandora looks like she'd be good with Zoraidia, since you can use Sorrows to fuck over your enemies when they fail to resist your Obeys and Bewitches.

In my first game, a bayou gremlin hit Taelor. The Vik player didn't think a lowly gremlin could really hurt her, so she let it slide with negative flip for damage. Amazingly, I flipped the red joker while in range of Lenny, which I think left her with 2 life left and a healthy respect for the lil guys. Definitely not something I can count on, but was great for my first attack in Malifaux even if the poor guy was pasted by his ram trigger

Has anyone tried to Black Blood Shaman shenanigans with Collodi?

For those who do no know the synergy:
You give Collodi black blood by stabbing him and triggering Blood Infusion and make shaman personal puppet.
Shaman will be able to take one damage (triggering its Black Blood) whenever Collodi takes damage from an enemy model (triggering his Black Blood) to take a 1 AP action.
Shaman can use this free AP to cast Black Blood Pustule on Collodi, dealing an additional point of damage to Collodi but also dealing 2 damage to every model around him.
And then with crow you can heal 3 (practically 2 since you take 1 from bbpustule).

Pretty sure you can't use Pustule on Collidi, as it says the black blood ability, while the black blood the BBS hands out is a condition. I could be wrong, I don't have the cards on me at the moment.

Apparently there seems to be a bit confusion that is the black blood "condition" condition or condition that gives the ability Black blood.
General concensus on rules is negative but there is no official errata or FAQ yet.

At least for me BBShaman feels like is supposed to be versatile piece to allow you to give BB to non neph units to let you splice into more models to core crew without letting get friedly fired by neph blood.
Because otherwise it is very limited support piece and very shit outside its archetype.

Just be lucky you aren't playing Ressers.

There's so much in faction synergy that makes almost every master justifiable to pick up.

Then on the off chance you go crazy and get every master, you still have Leviticus and Jack Daw drawing you into Outcasts, since both can take some pretty good dips into Resser models.
