A: No, the type bonus overrides them.

though my complaint is that the ship are...marginally different. I guess to save on miniature costs (cause they're plastic), they all seem to use the same hull. The Scourge Ships especially (this have 5 fins! this other ship has 7 fins!)

not sure how I feel about that. Unless you paint them very differently, I could see some problems with recognizing what ship is suppose to be what

What can the Plasma do that the Grav can't ? On foot and on bike, cover and no cover, vs low and high armor, toughness and model count.
