>>43364515You take her to a small clearing among some trees, just far enough from the village to keep them from the demon's influence. Despite what the others advised, you tell her the truth about what happened to her, what will happen to her, and what the church and gods feel should be done about it. Tears form in her eyes, but she refuses to cry. Instead she stands still as you explain that her life from before is over and that her knew one will be one of suffering and strife.
Afterwards you hand her a sword and give her three options. If she chooses to end her own life at any time you won't stop her, it's her life and the suffering the demon brings will be her suffering above all others.
Her second choice is to attack you. You won't execute her for her curse, but if she would prefer someone else kill her then you will only do it if she would try to kill you. If she can't bring herself to do that then she has not yet been corrupted by the demon and her suffering is not yet enough to break her own morals.
Her final choice is to stay with you and to train to be a Paladin. By embracing the tenets of the Paladin code she may be able to suppress or control the demon within her. She doubts you at first, but then the seals containing the demon break and it's shadowy aura erupts from her. You feel his evil try to corrupt you, but your iron will and conviction to good makes it impossible for it to influence you. You take out a scroll and recite the prayers to reseal his power, the demon screaming threats and blaspheme until he is entirely silenced.
Your power is impressive, and she agrees to become your apprentice.
