Behold, one of my favorite examples, the Sharakim. Horned, orc-like creatures with curious racials of being both intelligent and strong but awkward and clumsy. Despite this racial fumbling they are surprisingly adept at stealth, making their race suited for punchy, assassin wizards. But woe to the Sharakim, for they possess a +1 Level adjustment which barred them from many a table and struck them down into the dark recesses of the banned races pile at many a table.
