Not utilizing Exterminatus excessively and using it when ALL the options were exploited.

Good thing they have a Ordo that hunts down such Inquisitors who would be way too happy with hitting the Exterminatus button.

Well glad I ain't defending this. Although I like the Wolves, some of the things they pull off are too ridiculous even for 40K.

At least not as ridiculous as a certain Draigo pre-toning down.

the answer is simple; point the wolves at dangerous foes so they eventually wipe themselves out. maybe get some of those "ork snipers" i've never heard anything about before

Sorry, but you are underestimating Fenrisian plot armor.

Additionally the Wolves are aware with the whole Inquisitorial stuff.

Also the whole Ork Snipers thing is only applicable to later founding Chapters starting from the 3rd one.

It is actually suicidal for the Inquisition to mess with the 1st and 2nd Founding Chapters because not only can they show them the middle finger, they can and will wreck them if the Emperor's Pet Psychopaths go a step too far. And yes, if you screw over a 1st founding Chapter (or 2nd one) then the 1st ones and every single one of their successors will make your life miserable.

And the Space Wolves are more than eager to tear the Inquisition a new one if the latter make one wrong step.

Yep. That's what the Ultras did.

And mind you, I ain't talking about that the Space Wolves will do it only.

There is this thing as I remember that if anyone in the Imperium screws over a 1st or 2nd founding Chapter, then not only the screwed ones and their related Chapters go to tear you a new one, but the other Chapters will look at you with disgust and most will refuse to help you. Even if they have an oath sworn to you.

So don't expect just the Space Wolves, but also Chapters like the Dark Angels or anyone who got screwed by the Inquisition.

And the Inquisition is not the only one who is not beyond the reach of the Astartes.

Imagine what'll happen if the IF discover that the High Lords allow the Minotaurs to recruit from Terra.
