Wasn't really cost effective, not enough people were buying from LDD to excuse the effort it took to have the specialty piece sorting and packaging.

...There's still Bricklink however.

There used to be regular threads about it. People talked builds, building, best sets to get good parts from, and occasionally even the game. Tons of pics of armies and full PDFs of homebrews and I think even some kind of campaign system. Go look in the archives.

It a very simple system, X roll against Y, Xm for Melee, Xr for Short Ranged, Xa for Artillery, Z is a bonus for Xr or Xa rolls, A is for movement, and you get two dice to sub for any A, Y, or Z roll.

Let me rephrase that.
Why the fuck make a LEGO Wargame and not write meaningful customization in?
I love simple and quick games. But you can have that AND a satisfying mech construction kit. As it stands, the mecha building rules of MFZ are practically an alibi.
