Rex Barnsley, 44 year old Human Brawler. Likes to trot the globe, study indigenous peoples, and beat the shit out of exotic wildlife. Vaguely racist, but more in the stereotypes way than the inferiority way. Tries to civilize the more exotic, tribal races. Like if early anthropologists punched their problems away. Unfortunately, haven't had the chance to play him too thoroughly yet, never got a game to stick.
Never gives a straight answer about his origins or family, and always has some convoluted tall tale if asked. The circumstances of his birth are actually pretty mundane, and his twenties-thirties aren’t something he likes to talk about.
In actuality,
>>Youngest of twelve
>>Five brothers, three sisters, three dead
>>Got good at wrasslin’ from having five older brothers
>>Everyone’s name begins with an R. If you weren’t named with an R, you didn’t make it past 3. Why? Obscure gypsy curse? Fate? I thought it was interesting? All of the above?
>>Father is a decent man and mediocre farmer, passes away when PC is about 12
>>Eldest son inherits farm. Everyone helps at first, but over time, tend to disperse.
>>Rigsby, Father, deceased.
>>Ryesen, Mother, Widow.
>>Remly, Uncle, Trapper
>>Wesley, First born, deceased at 4 months
>>Riley, Eldest Daughter. Farmer
>>Rutherford, Eldest Son, Farmer
>>Chadley, Second deceased. Stillborn. Don’t deviate from the R’s man.
>>Reginald, Second Eldest Son, Military (High Command)
>>Robyn, Second Eldest Daughter, Baker’s Wife.
>>Rudyard, Third Eldest, Farmer
>>Rochester, Fourth Eldest, Military (Whereabouts Unknown)
>>Rowena, Youngest Daughter, Mage’s Apprentice
>>Remington, Fifth Eldest, Military (Whereabouts Unknown)
>>Percival, Third Deceased, 16 months. Shouldn’t have named him fucking Percy why didn’t you learn
>>Rex, Youngest, Trapper/Adventurer
There's also his wife and daughter. But, they're not doing so great, these days.
