You drift back into consciousness. A feeling of numbness slowly leaves your limbs as you regain feeling. There is a ringing in your ears that slowly subsides as your hearing returns. A shade of darkness lifts from your eyes as you see bright lights overhead.
"He's coming to," you hear a male voice say. There is movement in the periphery of your vision, but nothing is clear. You try to sit up. "Easy, easy," says the man. "We need to make sure you're alright. Can you hear me? Is there any dizziness?" You shake your head. "Good," he says. "Sometimes the eardrums can be damaged... Follow the light." A small light shines in your eyes, and moves left and right. "Eyes seem okay; sometimes you get ocular damage. There's superficial burns, and some capillary damage, but other than that... He'll live. I am concerned about this wound on his abdomen, though..."
You sit up.
