Hey, /tg/, are there any good /tg/, preferably Dungeons and Dragons/Pathfinder, or similar d20 podcasts, you would recommend? I've downloaded a few, but they all tend to be fairly poor. I've already listened to the Wizards' Acquisitions podcasts, and they were okay, but I'm looking for something fresh.

Listened to it for the first time yesterday, it was alright but it could do with a longer format. They take about 30 minutes to really get into character and get into the game but since the show is only an hour long it means half the show isn't as good.

Critical Role is a video series, but it might be what you're looking for.

The players are professional voice actors (mostly from video games) who can convincingly roleplay and the DM is actually competent. Makes for a nice change from my RL games where everyone is terrible at everything.

I enjoy a lot of actual play podcasts but as son as it gets into combat I know I can safely skip the next 30 minutes without missing anything. It's just so tedious- who wants to listen to what boils down to 'I hit, x damage'/'you get hit, x damage'.

I miss the old 3e DnD podcasts. Used to just be Mike Mearls and the other guy talking about DMing and fun experiences, but then it got a bit popular at the same time as they were promoting 4e and the whole thing got given over to promoting it. I doubt that section of the old site is even up any more.

One Shot is fantastic, it seems to be mostly filled with Improv actors, so most episodes are legitimately funny. They usually only run 'one shots' so it's a different system every couple of weeks. I love it for hearing how different systems work, and when they're on point it's the funniest podcast I subscribe to.

They also do a Star Wars campaign podcast 'Critical Success' but I haven't really gotten into it.

I can recommend their current run through of Rogue Trader (they somehow have no knowledge of 40k lore, despite their otherwise huge nerd cred), their run through of Project: Dark, their first Dungeon World run, and their Monster Hearts episodes.
