We're inching closer to the starting line and /tg/ seems to be the most results orientated board when it comes to actual writing.

So let's talk about NaNoWriMo while there is still time.

Post about what you've already scrapped, what you're excited about, and whether or not a /tg/-based NaNo group should form.

>Basic stuff

>What is NaNoWriMo?

NaNoWriMo is a yearly event that takes place in the month of November. Classically, participants are challenged to write a 50,000 word novel but the rules are frequently bent in regards to what actually gets written. The word count is the only thing most agree on.

>Why should I participate?

NaNoWriMo is a challenge to a writer's endurance and productivity. As difficult as it is to build-up a daily habit of 1,600 words most who complete the trial find themselves to be more capable writers.

>When does it start?

The event runs from the first to the last day of November.

>Can I post a link to my blog/twitter/whatever that I'm posting about NaNo to?

Yeah, go ahead. I'm not the police.
