Hey, /tg/. I've made a bunch of friends at my dorm and decided to run a game for them which I haven't done in a long time. They have zero roleplaying experience, most of them have played a fair bit of WoW and play a fair bit a of Dota and they're curious about table-top roleplaying. I'd wager things I used to run and play like nWoD won't fly with them at least not at first.
I think about running a roleplay-light based around combat or exploring not heavy on the rules. I've read DnD 5e and it seems pretty simple. I've played some 4e and I kinda enjoyed it. Generic fantasy murderhoboing will be easy for the newbies to get into.
I've been also reading up on Numenera. I dig the premise much more than I dig dndesque fantasy and the simple system suits my purpose. I keep hearing that the system is broken but I'm not sure if the newbies would be crafty enough to notice that.
So, what should I run to get a bunch /v/irgins interested in tabletop RPGs?
