Do you think it would be lore-friendly to brew up a species of "skinwalker" Tyranids for my Dark Heresy game? I'm thinking some offshoot of genestealers but I dunno.

The Simulacra from Creatures Anathema might be exactly what you're looking for. You can always refluff them as a Nid offshoot if you want.

You are allowed to make up your own aliens in Dark Heresy, you know.

Keep dropping hints that it's Tyranic, at first. Start dropping hints, half way through, that it's Chaotic and then at the very last minute pull a plot twist that it WASN'T ACTUALLY CHAOS and was in fact just a minor, short lived, alien faction that was totally unique to that particular world or sector.

You know, because it would make a change if the plot twist wasn't "LOL IT'S ACTUALLY CHAOS!"
