>>43301930I don't see it being an issue that a leader amongst the group rises up; it is the nature of human interaction.
It would be an issue if the leader silences all dissent or includes no one else, but if they are gracious enough to remember everyone involved, then why do these podcasts complain about them?
For example, in my game, we just spent the last 3 sessions achieving almost nothing of note because a character wanted to make a side trip I warned would likely come out to nothing (I know the area and the major figures in it IC). It proceeds to come to nothing, and then I decided to let things go, because it's this guy's bag, y'know? He wanted to come here, he'll make it work.
He didn't, and I finally got sick of it and made him an "offer" he couldn't refuse(I told him that this trip turned out to be a waste, and so X and X will happen, and if he didn't like it, then the entire group WILL stand behind me).
>for what it's worth, IC, we have no love for each otherHe agreed, then we moved on. Another player, once back in our home stomping grounds, starting getting his shit done, and while it was like an hour and a half of him rp'ing with npcs, I was happy that SOMEONE was moving forward with their plans.
>>43302132I have been in this situation, and I usually cut the bullshit short by going ahead and doing what I planned to.
This almost got me killed a few times, but fuck, walk the walk, y'know?
