I was browsing 1d4chan when I came upon the page dedicated to the race of elves. http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Elf . It made me wonder, why does TG hate elves, and are there any elven races that TG think are ok or good?

Elves are great NPC factions and characters.

I always hate playing with PC elves. They tend to play a 'person of the world' stereotype and trap their backstory into some typical edgy shit. If their character doesn't have some edgelord story I often bring up why they are not with their own distressed people during the adventure, and they often don't have a real excuse.

The best PC elves, if any, are either way off center or distant & racist. I consider myself doing a good job if I'm playing an elf and the rest of my party distrusts me.

At least elffags are willing to accept when elves have notable differences in settings, dwarvefags will only accept Medieval Jew Tolkien Dwarves, Generico D&D Dwarves, and Generico D&D Dwarves Plus Steampunk. You take away something as simple as beards or axes or alcoholism and everybody blows their shit. Dwarves are the exact same goddamn thing in nearly every fantasy setting that has them in it.

They were not "banned." They were simply moved to a more appropriate board.

It wasn't a punishment, and its not like /tg/ has some sort of premiere status among the boards. The threads were deleted from here, and permitted in /d/ because they were a better match for that board, and that's really the end of the story.
