>Okay, I have mixed feelings about this, and some of you may disagree with me, but I feel that as someone who is in charge of protecting cultural heritage, it’s my duty to speak up about this.
>The looting of cultural heritage is still a BIG problem today, and I don’t understand the thought process behind making a game that makes light of such a serious problem with overwhelming consequences for the cultures who have been victimized by it. It’s a problem that affects cultural heritage sites all over the world, in places such as Guatemala’s Mayan temples, the American Southwest, Egypt, Cambodia, and Syria.
>Given the recent destruction in Syria of the famed Palmyra temple complex, as well as the looting of the Baghdad Iraq Museum in 2003, the release of this game NOW seems to be in poor taste. Furthermore, even if this game is set in a sort of pseudo-historical “past” (like a vaguely 19th century time period), I don’t think the imperialistic 18th, 19th, and 20th century traditions of white people looting artifacts from other countries is one that should be lauded or made humorous. It certainly wasn’t funny when the Nazis did it.
>Prove me wrong, or seriously think twice about contributing to this Kickstarter.

It is now unethical to depict the looting of temples, ruins or other heritage sights in a humorous or light-hearted fashion. Please refrain from including looting in your tabletop games.
