Hey /tg/.

What would be an interesting language to use for naming NPCs? I'm tired of the Latin, Sindarian, and the Georgian scene. I crave something new.

You could just translate descriptive english words into the other language and combine them (the translated words), seeing as that's what names are.

I was thinking more for, a bbeg might have a very dominating personality, so look for the words Control, Dominate, Assertive in a language, and then use whatever word I like to create some kind of proper name.

'interesting' is pretty subjective, anon. not everyone will react the same way you and your audience might.

Can you quantify the sort of things you find interesting in a naming language? Or at least, what you are tired of in the languages you usually use?

I know you said 'new', but surely something more specific than that. A seed to cultivate into something bigger.

Once I was making a little world and I noticed that nearly all of the names for a society were similar, just by chance. They almost all started with a K-sound and had S-sounds. Thanks for the book, ever since I noticed I had done that I've wanted to make sure I did it on purpose from now on so this will help a lot.
