Anybody up for a /tg/ related literature thread?
What are you reading? What's next? What's been your favorite?
I'm gonna need a new series soon and I can't decide between the Dresden Files or the Black Company. What do you guys recommend? I'm open to other suggestions as well, I'm also interested in some of Glen Cook's other series. How are they?
If anyone cares, I'm currently rereading the VTM Clan Novel Saga, about halfway through Eye of Gehenna. I've only read it once about 2 years ago and I'm finding it much easier to follow now. That being said it's still a huge pain in the ass reading through the chapters told from Anatole's perspective. I know it's all metaphors and similes for stuff that's going on but it feels like such a chore plowing through those parts and my brain always feels fried at the end of the chapter.
I just finished reading Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits too, I really liked it. A different direction from John Dies at the End and This Book is Full of Spiders, but still a really good read. I'm gonna have to go back and reread those other 2 at some point.
I've also still got the Imperial Guard omnibus on the back burner, and I'm still waiting for the next Gaunt's Ghosts book, and most anticipated is the next fucking book in the Bequin trilogy that keeps getting pushed back and has now been delayed indefinitely. I want some more goddamned Ravenor vs Eisenhorn, and yes I'm very salty about the delays.
