So just finished reading Ahriman Unchanged and i realised something. So when Ahriman did his Rubric it split up Magnus' soul. each peace of said soul contain only a fraction of the whole power (suddenly C'tan/primarch/Daemon Prince appears).

this means Magnus has been doing shit with not even half strength (battle of the Fang)

anyone else catch that?

You are not the only one.

But you apparently misread a bit. It wasn't the first Rubric that broke Magnus to shards. It was Iskander Khayon!

The first and second Rubric were plots to fuse Magnus back together.

At that point of time, Iskander Khayon was easily the most powerful mortal sorcerer in the Eye. Also he was a master daemon summoner.

Nope, not at that time. Ahriman was a broken man slaving for a no-man Chaos Lord while Khayon was/is a BOSS fighting Exalted Greater Daemons and Daemon Primarchs.

i was under the belief it was destruction of prospero then the battle of terra and then the rubric. Iskander states in talon of horus that they teabagged Magnus after the rubric

It's just an assumption on my part.

Magnus refuses to talk about the event that shattered him in "Unchanged", and the only thing that talks about Magnus getting broken is the bit about Khayon in "Talon of Horus" where is given the title "THE BREAKER OF MAGNUS/Kingbreaker".

Khayon was named first in the John French Ahriman series, IIRC. He is the guy who beats up Ahriman after the Rubric is cast.

I don't mind. Ragged Knight was awesome.

You should see what Ahriman's summoner companion did. Cetias summoned legions daemons from the Warp and uttered the true name of DOOMBREED and called him forth from the realm of brass and blood.

he tries to beat up Ahriman and gets stopped by Sanahkt, whom gets his soul torn apart by Khayon. He never got close to Ahriman. Talon of Horis was the first mention of Khayon. ADB said he made the character specially because he didn't want a known Sorcerer

Yeah but Cetias was on a deamon planet in the warp, meaning its easier summon. Khayon just throws a deamon in attack mode from his deck in the middle of realspace and it summons. Like its cool and all, but then you wonder why every other sorcerer isn't doing it

Khayon was in the Eye of Terror. I imagine it would be very easy for him to call daemons into reality when there is no real barrier between reality and the Warp.
