Any advice when I can buy stokes of low priced miniatures?

Even the lowest quality, second hand, old figurines. Anything as far as I can use them on the D&D table.

What minis do you use?

Yeah, Reaper Bones is pretty great if you want to get a whole bunch of models and don't really mind if a lot of them will be permanently bent out of shape. They also have models of nearly all the standard D&D monsters.

I got 733 prepainted miniatures on ebay for $300 shipped on ebay. So while there was a large initial cash outlay I rarely every buy miniatures anymore.

I require all players to supply there on character miniature which must be painted to a basic tabletop standards. You also have to be over 18 and commission or draw a character sketch as well. 3 strikes attendance policy as well and mandatory $5 food contribution if you are eating with the rest of the group which is also mandatory.

GM anon is hard but fair.

Also where are you based?
I could for example recomend a UK based company but if your in the US the shipping for just one or two miniatures would be ridiculous

£7.70 for 50. A bit of paint, conversion and basing work and you've got shedtons of miniatures that actually look rather decent.
