>>43335242One of my 40k buddies who thinks he 'plays for fun' etc. - but is actually as WAAC as it gets (Riptide spam, firebase support cadre, list tailors hard).
Anyway, we've been talking about starting 30k armies for a while. I decided to go with Night Lords, he was thinking Alpha Legion or Word Bearers. Today we met up at the flgs to chat while we picked up some paint and miscellaneous shit. When the owner asks him if he'd like a HH box set aside - he says: "Nah, I'm just gonna fluff a warp storm and use my Tau."
He is a decent guy, but a bit insecure, and cant take criticism or even the butt of a joke. If I tell him he's a colossal mega-faggot when it comes to 40k, it wont go well. He sincerely believes he's a 'fun, fluffy' player. He even makes fun of our other buddy for playing WarConvo, but he is every bit as bad. Yet he doesnt see it. In the 2 years Ive been here, Ive never won a game vs him. I typically played CSM in rhinos, with horrible units likeTerminators, Decimators, and double AC contemptors in my list. He has played a netlist every single time. Necrons or Tau. One game he brought his Dark Eldar (with a Wraithknight cuz muh headfluff) and he didnt utterly stomp my CSM; he's never brought DE since.
So I stopped playing him, thinking he'd take the hint. Nope. He bought the FW Tau titan, and a ton of the other new shit. All he's been talking about the past few days are the new Tau formations and his 'Tautan'.
Wtf do I do with this guy? I work with him, so Ive abstained from just straight up telling it like it is. He's kind of a bitch and would probably hold a grudge for life. My best option is just to never play him I guess?
