Why nobody mentions this?
This is probably the best system for a fantasy RPG -- EVER

I don't care about settings or any other shit, but the system itself is flawless and you can modify it with ease

They did re-release the system without the DA license, it's called AGE I think, but threads pop up from time to time , it's just pretty nice and people like to shit post about the games. Origins and Awakening were the only good games in the series.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it flawless, but it's certainly a cut above many games.

And I like it more for the setting, oddly enough, there are plot threads the games never expanded on that are awesome to run a tabletop game around.

I hated Origins. I only liked 2.

For some modification is a must have feature. I personally love tweaking little things in systems, so the easier a game makes that for me, the more I love it. Except GURPS for some reason. I don't know why, but I fucking hate that system.

Currently running it for a large party and it works pretty well. I wouldn't make hyperbolic statements about it being the best rpg evar though.

It works, it's pretty fun, but if you already have a fantasy system that works well and is fun for your group there's no need to make the jump.

I've played this with a friend DM who is super-fanboy of this shit and i can tell you that i don't like it.

The system feels... Let's say, poor.

>too simple
>too restrictive
>doesn't have any kind of variety, my shield warrior is exactly the same than any other shield warrior
>combat styles do not have any deep and are not worth shit
>magic is op as fuck and tends to provoke TPKs
>characters do not feel like they are improving at all
>combat maneuvers are alright, except for the "i push you - you lose your action - i push you again - you lose your action again"

Could be great with a certain amount of work, i think, but as it is now i didn't enjoy it at all. I felt that my character was made of cardboard, no life at all.
