Why systems do you think would be good for running a game in the Super Robot genre? I just think it seems like great thing to do a RPG around: larger than life fights, lots of hot blooded speechs and haming it up for roleplaying, the monster of the week format could fit well for adventures .etc.
I'm well aware of Mekton Zeta but that just seems way to crunchy for me. It seems more like very simulationist like the exact opposite of what seems right for this type of game. Like, in pic related, there's a flying hat shaped jet that turns into shield. It seems very wrong to calculate weight and shit for something like that.
I guess I'm looking for something that can do robots, moves at least relatively fast, is at least lighter than Mekton Zeta. However, what I'd like most is something that can reflect how these heroes and their robots are basically fueled by hard work and guys, courage, love, friendship, etc. I guess an example would maybe character being able to get extra dice for evoking such things. Doesn't have to be that, but something similar would be great.
