I'm not even kidding, as somebody who genuinely loves outdoorsmanship, roleplaying games and card games are probably one of the best sources of entertainment you can bring along. The material for those games is small, light, and requires no electricity. In fact, the only time I play MtG anymore is when I go hiking with old goons from college.

What's not to like?

I think if you have friends who all like /tg/ stuff and are up for it, it's fine. But you should probably be careful in choosing where you set up to play. Don't want to get your books or paper wet or lose your dice.
