MTG, New/Unusual Formats

So I've been thinking of a custom format.

You'd have a character of some kind, a bit like in EDH.

Maybe some kind of aura/equipment/artifact deck that everyone can "purchase" from.

The big difference is that players wouldn't have life totals. You'd win by racking up the largest number of kills. Specifically, kills of enemy "PCs".

I'm fuzzy on the other details so far.

Does a format like this already exist?

If no, any suggestions?

First rule of making formats, don't toss in more than 1 major idea a format. You've got 3 separate ideas, each of which could make a format on their own. Work one out before you start thinking about combining them.

This makes a lot of sense, but I see what OP is going for. Maybe it could be a format like a combination of typical Magic and EDH, with a 59 card deck and a commander, although I think that a format like that would get real out of control real fast.
Or it could be a bit like Planechase, except that (like OP said) it's composed entirely of artifacts. It'd work like a normal deck, except it wouldn't go into your hand, and the top card would just be revealed, but you could cast it whenever. You could pay 3 or 4 to shuffle the artifact library and reveal a new card. We could call it Scrapyard or something.
