Does have anybody noticed that Chaos only affects humans? I mean, there are dark eldars, yeah, but they don't worship chaos, they are just...living...And of course there are other minor specias like Larean that worshipped chaos gods but from the major forces of the universe, only humans get corrupted nowadays.

it Seems like the Imperium want to monopolize the right to become corrupted by chaos.

Except they do affect the other races
Hell the whole fucking reason Slaanesh exits is because is because of the Eldar
The reason they don't affect the other races is because:
The nids don't really have complex thoughts as individuals
The tau have too small a presence in the warp
The necrons are robots
The orks got the same reason as the nids, but in a bit of a different way
There's also the fact that the Imperium is the main focus of 40k, so you're gonna be seeing most things from their viewpoint, rather than some bumfuck alien

It's because the setting of 40k is mostly the story of the fall of the empire of humanity. Other chaos-worshipping and chaos-influenced aliens exist, but the focus isn't on them unless they're influential as a major power. For smaller scale altercations the RPGs go into more detail, but for the general game they're cut from the major cast.

in canon aliens are indeed affected by chaos, however they are very quickly wiped out by whoever encounters them so they are numerically insignificant compared to humans, eldar both regular and dark avoid that shit like aliens colonial marines on a steam sale. and orks have their own gods who the chaos gods do not want to fuck with.

Orks are too simple minded and carefree. This makes them resistant to the temptation of Chaos. However, there have been many cases in the fluff of Orks falling to Chaos. But for some reason Orkfags brush over their examples because they are just fags.

Humans are the only ones who don't scuttle away into some hideyhole when chaos hits them or just die AND are numerous enough to count.

That being said, the lack of Chaos Xenos races is a bit meh. Daemons have this whole "can't exist in realspace" thing, which limits their ability to interact with the cosmos quite a bit.

It's sort of a chase of Orks being so single minded that as long as they have something to fight, they have no desire that chaos can easily exploit. They're however not immune to manipulation, as is obvious with the Eldar.
The end result is that Orks never really properly fall to chaos the way humans do, with worship and the desire for a reward (except maybe Khorne, if somehow there's a bargain to become a wharglord, though I don't remember any examples of that actually happening).

Have you been there? Have you made a tally of how many Orks were not corrupted or not? You didn't. So you don't know how many of the Orks succumbed to corruption.

Except that they do. Orks are not immune to the corruption of Chaos. They are resistant but not immune.

Another example of Orks succumbing to Chaos corruption is from "Angron's Monolith" novella.

Feral Orks tribes near relic belonging to daemon prince Angron fell to Chaos and actually began changing from green to red.

Agreed. The only point I can see someone bringing up to try and prove that Orks are immune is that Ork PCs in Rogue Trader don't get corruption points. Rumor has it that this wasn't FFG's idea, it was a demand from GW.

But that's game mechanics. There are always some abstractions from the fluff. All it means that Orks are so resistant that rules for tracking an Orks corruption aren't worth the bookkeeping that would be required to implement them.

But that's not why I bring up Rogue Trader. I bring up Rogue Trader because the book that has rules for Ork PCs also has Kroot PCs that ran on the same CP rules as humans. Meaning they aren't significantly more or less resistant to corruption than humans are. Yes, their habit of eating the dead should be risky, but no riskier than a human who eats the dead just as often.

I haven't looked at the rules for Tau or Dark Eldar PCs in RT. Do they have any special rules regarding corruption points ?

Chaos Elder are a thing and distinct from Dark Eldar.

Chaos Orks are a thing.

Saruthi were a race of 100% chaos corrupted xenos. Possibly extinct now.

God damn, I wish GW would do some stuff with the Crone World Eldar. I remember there being some old fluff that while Eldar Chaos Champions were rare, they were seen as ungodly dangerous even by some Daemon Princes.

Slaanesh is the patron of the Mad Doks and Brew Boyz who make the recreational drugs. Also Speed Freaks.

I can see Tzneetch getting a small following of Mad 'Eads, Weird Boyz and Warp 'Eads.

The problem with Khorne is, most Orks see War as some kind of fun-brawl.

They aren't really into brutal massacres and bathing in the icky blood of their enemies. Or fighting boring targets (like unarmed people)

Also, they think chaos cultists are edgy.

This is why most Khorne-boys grow out of this phase if they get a bit older.

Khorne Stormboyz are the Orks who -fail- to grow out of that phase... Most Orks realise that marching and saluting are no fun and grow up to be hooligans, the ones who don't become Drillbosses or Stormboyz of Khorne... who had stats similar to those of Nobz, back when you could field them.
