Wealth and influence. Being able to get whatever thing you want and make people perform whatever action you want. Have world run as you think it should run.

Love - ideal partner or just adoration and appreciation of the masses.

Power as in magical power - remaking reality as you see fit or defying laws of physics

Harem, or at least ability to create devices and creatures that would serve one's kink in whatever way.

Rewrite past or at least have reality warp itself in that your mistakes are corrected or at least their effects on your mental and emotional health neglible, your health perfect.

Not just immortality as much as immortal beauty, peak of physical, mental etc condition.

Turning into something person deems cool and/or having something like that as a pet, lover or a friend of the person.

Sort of escapism - your own place where you're the ruler, owner and God - combining aspects of the above things, like harem, power, wealth etc. Can be limited to pocket dimension one can customize to some extent or in lesser version, just going to the world of themes and tropes one likes (living in harem anime, living in some fantasy world as a powerful warrior/wizard, going to sexually free land where every kink and fetish finds fulfillment easily).

Having an item of some particular wonderful abilities, a sign and a symbol of being someone awesome, generally, something to make the more insecure people seem edgy and cool.

I am pretty sure that everything else falls somewhere into those categories, no matter the CYOA and the choice, in one way of the other.

Regarding the third one, on the fence between debate and surgery - I like discussing things and I'd like to be able to express my thoughts in a more clear, understandable way to reach people better but being able to save lives and generally do good (and quite lucrative) work in greatly valued field would also be nice.

That's a good list of things to have for a new CYOA based on the wishfulfillment, but have to wonder. Waifu / Harem option seems quite common and almost lazy at some point, perhaps setting it up so that its possible but not automatic, like making people less likely to be jealous to one another with you.

Immortality & being in best possible shape has come a rather important part of many a CYOA, often costing a fair bit of points to gain, and other times its as easy as choosing whether to take it or not. Would be curious to see if some CYOA offered immortality as default option, but offered extra points for "burn bright, burn fast" option of mortality but at +50% points to spend or such.

Love & Leadership position, along with wealth, a useful class of things to have in any life if its at any way possible.

Eh. A lot of options to go. I personally like CYOAs with option for adventure ahead, Stardust, Space Opera Refuge Adventure, a few others.... just feel like they establish a starting point, but the story to be told is all yours to tell.

Ranting, gonna go shove some food in my mouth and shut up.

I think this option, while very common, sometimes to the point of dull actually offers as much potential as anything else - there can be different waifus, with different options, customizations, traits, effects on each other. Plus, it's not only harem per se, but getting creatures/devices that are to satisfy one's kinks, including absolutely weird, inhuman monsters etc depending how far into /d/ territory one wants to go. Really, imagination's the limit - it's just most CYOA makers settle for "here's a cutie, here's another cutie, have them" or even more vague "you get x beautiful people fitting your preference, enjoy".

Immortality is also dependant on CYOA. In some settings it's very costly or comes with conditions but many CYOA offer it as absolute free standard.

That is flat bullshit, the literal and reasonable interpretation of the rules should coincide and not be antagonistic to each other. And when its not, the literal interpretation should always trump the reasonable one, because they're more intrinsic to how the CYOA is set up and not by the whims of the author who has no business of meddling with a CYOA that he deems is finished.

No arguments there, you actually make a very good point. Its all how things are done, my comment on the lazy side is the 'seemingly perfect, perfectly fitting your tastes' option that is left vague for everyone to fill in the details as they want.

Oh man. Treasure Hunter was a lot of fun definitely, I think it shared the success rate and survival rate possibility with another CYOA about populating Mars, and the likelyhood of success based on how you had spent the points... though given it involved 'Sailor Moon' series Sailor Mars... I didn't really expect much from that.

Still, a chance and a bit of random touch can be a a very fun addition, adding a touch of uncertainty and danger to things.

Nope. With Handler, I can put together a build that'll get me pretty much all the offered things that I want without dipping into anything I wouldn't want to do. With Enchante/d/ Rings, the low amount of points from the drawbacks I'd be willing to put up with, and the relatively high costs of boons in general, makes this damn near impossible by the looks of it.

Granted, I've yet to go through the latter and actually make a list of the stuff I'd be willing to put up with (as I did with the former), but the glance-based outlook isn't as good as it was with the former.

Not stuff like 'what is a trap'
So far I have:
People genderbend at random times
A bunch of people get their genitals swapped, but no change to their body or mind
I guess there could be a different variant to option 2, where your body and mind is swapped to the opposite gender, but not your genitals

I meant for the variation as well.

As for the link, remove the extra http://. If that doesn't work, cut out the question mark and everything after it, then on the page it gives you select "Rizon" as the network and type "#cyoa" as the channel (without the quotations).
