Does /tg/ use a low volume background for their sessions? My old GM did, and it usually added a lot of atmosphere to the games. I've looked up a bunch of (reconstructed or fictional) medieval instrumental songs that fit the themes of travelling, cities or festivities, but I still need just basic BGM for stuff like forests, rivers, caves and dungeons. Do you guys know any good resources for that?

Spice and Wolf first OST (minus the actual OP in moonspeak) actually has a pretty good amount of medieval-ish instrumental songs that might work for a fantasy campaign.
