The first and primary way to becoming more creative is to first absorb the ideas of other people more often, and to expand upon those ideas.

Example; I'm making a fantasy setting where I want people to have an interesting type of money.
Historically, tea bricks were used as a form of money/trade good for a long time. Therefore, I can use this.

This is one example. Another idea is to think of one of your ideas, one of your concepts for a character or a setting or whatever and you have to give it justifications for itself. Maybe you have a character who is a cleric but is scared of undead. Why is this? Maybe the first time he cast Turn Undead it failed, or maybe he had a childhood incident involving an undead thing. There are a million and one ways to expand upon something or make it more yours, but you'll need to learn what YOU want it to be flavored as. That's important.

Another thing; Many people on /tg/ confuse logic and consistency for autismal 'realism' shoved in everywhere. Don't do this. If you want a warrior that wears a great crab's shell as armor, go for it, fuck the haters and have some fun.

To close; Don't forget to write down your ideas. In a few years you will read something you had forgotten that you can throw back in again for a whole new spin. Welcome to the world of creativity. It's a thankless job, but damn if it isn't fun.

Read more, watch more, analyse more, interest for more things.
Read/watch things you dont like, maybe they are not bad. Otherwise analyse them, what should be different that you could lik it. Maybe change only small things.
If you see/read something without much story to it, create a backstory/lore for it. Takes this and change it in the completly opposite.
Use brainstorming technics. Write random stuff down that fits together. Write random words than select randomly, roll them, and try to connect these 2 words through a story.
My advises, but i bet there are better ways.

Creativity means doing things in an "unhabitual" way. What you need to do is explore ideas that are not common to everyone. This is usually done by collecting a large amount of ideas/information and finding connections that are unlikely/surprising/weird/interesting etc. In the OP pic for example combining the idea of "knight" with other fantasy concepts, functionally just combining two words and creating an artwork from it.

One important thing to keep in mind is that you need to have courage and more importantly the "unrestrained freedom of imagination" to try those ideas. A classic example is the "How many things can you create from a paperclip" even total beginners can come up many things to create from a common paperclip.

More free thinkers go further and question things outside the common assumptions about a paperclip. What if that paperclip is as tall as a building? What if that paperclip is made of gold? What if that paperclip is radioactive? And so on, things that most people do not think about because they immediately assume it is a standard steel paperclip of standard size. But even that is already limiting since today we have paperclips in several colors and sizes made of both metals and plastics.

That is pretty much it in a nutshell, granted not every idea will be goo, in fact most of it will be bad but the more you do it the better you get at finding the good ones.

It's two skills in one and the first part sounds OP and is unclear in a way that might imply that it can even render passive abilities null simply because they are also abilities or skills.

Like if he uses that ability could he turn off the Night Knights stat loss from daylight? Or does it turn his stats off altogether?
Could he null the benefit of the Turtle Knights long lived life experience?

Fuck this broken ass bullshit.
