could you just electrocute every wizard on the grid with a particularly powerful lightning bolt, or would the electricity just be dissipated over a large enough network with a risk of grounding it pretty much anywhere since most of the metal would be bare to allow access to the network?

is there any kind of magical bandwidth? would a narrow wire be able to power all of dwarven society's magic? if they can minimize resources on this cable they wouldn't even need to get to the mountain, just tap the underside of the most convenient smaller scrystal.
