Hey folks.
I'm putting together a game of Vampire: The Requiem 2nd edition for some IRL friends. The plan is instead of a political game for sobbing goths, it would instead base it around the idea of warring bloodlines fighting in a West Coast city (probably 80's LA or '90s Seattle), kinda gunning for a vibe like The Warriors. I've read all the bloodline books but I'm having problems picking a tightly focused group of them. A few are obvious choices (Khaibit, Bruja). Can I pick your brains on this?

Undead politics is nasty business - maybe some Prince is in the middle of a decades long plot to start consolidating power in a more regional manner, and become a Duke?

So he does he best to weaken rivals in the area by having them clear out the surrounding countryside of werewolves and other creatures, etc. Obviously more traditional forces in the city mean to stop him, as the Prince introduces more and more draconian policies. Worse, he's willing to bend the Masquerade to get his "friends" staked by local Hunters.

The players could be very easily the clean up team, the guys who get set up, or even the loyal footsoldiers who get sent into the woods with silver rifles to kill the beasts out there.

So far what I'm thinking is that the city (likely Seattle) was grounds for a Carthian experiment in electing princes, and assembled a senate, styled itself as a new Camarilla. They got involved in a war with werewolves, and won the war, but the Invictus general who won the war pulled a Julius Caesar and declared himself regional Prince.

I figure each faction invited bloodlines into the city promising blood, treasure, and mystic lore from looted Uratha holds, and the players are basically neonates who happened to see that the new Caesar may be working with the fucking owls/doing exactly what you're suggesting.
