He's alright, I bought him when he first came out but kinda regretted it. He only scales with the other MT Battle Tanker Series TFs, as he is just slightly larger than a hasbro deluxe.

I would have been happier with him if he wasn't a $200 deluxe.

If you own any other F(x), you will be disappointed with Crox. FP's engineering used to be a work of art, now it just seems like they are calling it in and with Crox it shows.

What's wrong with Crox exactly? Surely it has to be better than what Hasbro is doing. Yeah I understand the hate on the chest window, but I originally wanted him more than Sigma. Also I think these would be my first major third party figures purchased, so I have nothing to compare to.

I sold my stuff because the MP line was on fire (official and not). I'm pretty sure we'll en up having everyone I care for in MP form so I figured I didn't need 10 representation of each characters but only the best one.

I sold about 400 TFs but only had a hard time selling maybe 10 of them I really liked for some reason like Buster Prime and MPM Starscream because of their killer looks and awesome engineering, FP Headmasters because of how fun they were, etc.

I'm much happier with what I have now: less stuff but only what I consider the best. It looks WAY better on display too.

I am not familiar with this version of Thunderwing at all, but I rather like how it looks. There's another version out with a mini guy that goes into his chest first, but I think Thunderstorm looks better overall.

I'll think about it when it'll happen but I'm pretty sure that if TT ever happened to fuck an MP up by making it worse than the Classics iteration, which would be VERY surprizing, some 3P group would make a proper better MP version.

Yeah, that's Stratosfear. I appreciate it that they included a miniature Thunderwing figurine like with the original Pretender, but that aspect doesn't come into play at all in the Stormbringer comic. Also Thunderstorm looks more like the comic version. Shame about the shoulder cannons.

Question from someone who's never bought third party tfs. I'm thinking of picking up Warbotron WB-03F Master (http://www.thechosenprime.com/WarbotronWB03F), and I had a questions.

The page states that it is a model kit. What is the level of difficulty in terms of assembly? (on a a scale of Gunpla (easy) to Resin Kit (Hard))
It looks like there are screws involved, so that already puts it above gunpla (by a bit)

Also, how much work is needed to make the kit look like the promo photos?

Well I don't think this is out yet, but going by WB01-F X-RAY, it's as easy if not easier than building a gundam.

Though in the pictures for master, it looks like the silver is painted. I can't imagine the silver to be that crisp on a runner.

There's nothing really egregiously wrong with Crox, he's just lacking the magic of Code's sliding panel, or Smart Robin/UUUU's chest compression/expansion. He's just kind of standard in comparison. And then you add in the issues with the chest and the weird thumbs and some people start to decry it as shit.

Sometimes it takes ages for them to ship a package. I might buy the same combo from them to catch up on function X as Sigma L is on sale.

A lot of people didn't like the design of the chest feeling that it was more for the "Croc-timus" redeco primarily and not a great Skullcruncher chest. I'll admit that when I look at it, I can't get Optimus' chest out of my head. It bothers me a bit, and I really wish he'd gotten his own chest pieces, but it's far from a dealbreaker for me at least.

I also wonder how much a few reprolabels might spiffy up the chest and make it less Optimus-like.

The thumbs are due to the hands being the old type TF block fists with a 5mm hole but with a separate thumb sculpted in. It makes it look like he has 2 thumbs or some sort of wrist spike, it's just very weird.
