Do you think these companies time the releases so as not to compete with one another?

I know Medicom just released preorders for their MAFEX Boba Fett. Maybe Bandai didn't want to saturate the market.

...But then again S.H.Figuarts, whatever it is, sells out in an instant whereas MAFEX tends to take a while to sell out.

Gaim doesn't look quite that samurai-y but that's kinda what SIC is about, just that instead of making them all look medieval it's just more stylized designs. Gaim's armor motif is beefed up, other Riders look more mechanical or monstrous. SIC are usually around 8 inches I think, so bigger.

Just googled it and found out that Takayuki Takeya, who also does the Movie Realization Star Wars stuff, does a lot of the designs for these.

No wonder the Gaim looks very similar in style. I like it a lot.
