>>5243684>You're supposed to work your ass to the bone and be miserable for minimal pay and no reward beyond a paycheck because family structure, women's roles, Jesus, and some other arbitrary crap.Boy, that's only in redneck rural areas, where there's a common distrust of neighbors and the gubmint that is out to get them. IT's why they live in rural areas in the first place!
>>5243688>How are you not understanding that mailmen are already incredibly well paid? It doesn't matter if they're paid well or not. They're people like anyone else and most everyone appreciates it when you recognize their abilities that goes beyond what's expected. Fuck, even the mediocre and shit workers want praise too, because "they're doing something."
STill, I've given gifts to those that i think are praise worthy. Even the doctors who make 3 times more than me.
>>5243695>You are literally bribing them for their friendship. How does that not feel fake to you?Why would i give a gift for someone if they already weren't being really nice to me?
Hell, with some people like doctors and nurses, i know i'll never see them again and give them one anyway.
Anyway, I really dislike people who seem fake. There's one guy at a coffee shop who always gives me his brightest smile, but you can tell it's fake because it's just teeth. Nice guy, does his job, but that's it. He doesn't make me feel special like some of the girls there do. Of course, i don't give them any gifts or shit neither beyond dat dolla tip and returning the flirty comments, cuz dey likely play dat game fo' ebybody.
>>5243706huh, didn't know the hippo oath prevented them from accepting monetary gifts, but i think it'dbe pretty insulting to give them cash or gift card anyway.
Flowers are usually pretty standard, but some offices don't like that cause of allergies. Chocolates are always great though, especially foreign stuff. No one can resist trying out chocolates not found in WalMarts or Whole Foods.
