Hi 4chan, I read about these toys the other day, and I could really get into these.

I love mix and match figures, such a shame this line didn't last too long. They had some really awesome figures.

Since they work with ball joints, are there any other toylines that are compatible with them?

Or have similar sized ball joints?

Sadly, not to my knowledge. The ball joints used are pretty big. Perhaps LEGO/Bionicle stuff? don't quote me on that though.

Actually, Modibot (which is a new line by the same guys that did Xevoz for Hasbro) is compatible with Xevoz balljoints and accessories. It's pretty cool, but the problem is, the bots are just too generic for my tastes. A big part of what I loved about Xevoz was the awesome stylized sculpts. But hey, at least you have Xevoz-compatible options (especially for customs) with the new Modibot bodies!

What a lot of us have been pushing for is for the creators to revive it in a lowkey unlicensed way. Like a third party line that just so happens to be compatible with the old balljoint sizes, and just so happens to make monsters and robots and demons and junk with no "official" tie to the original Xevoz factions. But nope, the creators are doing other shit like the failed World Heroes Kickstarter and now Modibot (which is cool, but not my thing).

Probably back in the very early 2000s, when the line was still in stores. This "style" of product photography really only amounts to lighting them pretty uniformly with cool lights and Photoshopping out the background. Pretty basic stuff.

I didnt really care for their stikfas for that same reason of being generic, but im actually tempted to get into these since theyre compatible. But do you know if theyre very durable and if theyre really really compatible? As if they made this in a close attempt to revive the xevoz line unofficially?

They are really, genuinely compatible. That photo I posted above shows one of the bots wearing actual Xevoz accessories, and it was taken by the creators. They fully intended them to be compatible, it's not like, a happy mistake or anything.

As for durability, no clue, I don't own them. But Modibots exist in both production PVC and 3D printed varieties (they sold 3D printed ones before they got the money to go full production basically), MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE PVC ONES! I can tell you for a fact that they will be more durable than the 3D printed ones.

Xevoz were one of the best, most underappreciated figures ever to accidentally stumble into mass market. I can't believe we actually saw these things on Wal-mart shelves!
With the way people eat up shit like Glyos these days, if this were re-launched as a hoity-toity collector line, people would buy the shit out of them, probably for 3x what the original Xevoz cost at retail.
I bought a ridiculous number of them when they were out, and I still wish I'd gotten more.

These were my favorite toys, I had the ENTIRE line somewhere at my old house, but when we moved, I lost about half of them. I think there is some box in my attic that has some of these.

I had an assload of em and loved em all. Unfortunately i was a dumb shit as a kid and didn't really know how to deal with Loose ball joints and made heavy abuse of Nail Polish as a solution, wich gunked up a lot of joints and kinda ruined too many of the good clear plastic guys.

Shit i probably still have huge-ass bags full of various bits I need to go through them some time see whats salvageable.

Unless you mean like, the case popped open and then a truck ran over the parts, I don't see how they could have been 'destroyed.' They're fairly hardy toys, at most I'd imagine a few cracked balljoints or something.

Yeah, I have a lot actually, just not on me so I can't photograph any. I was lucky I think, even though I was really late to the game I was able to assemble a pretty respectable collection, and even army build some of the more grunt-ish figures (like the human soldiers and Sledge Troopers).
