>>5241639Its interesting to see the direction of this line; not a reboot, but rather a continuation, as if the Diaclone line kept going for 30 years instead of Transformers. Instead of being direct remakes of the old figures, they're more like newer models. Those Walder mechs are likely meant to be the newer versions of the Walder robos that became the Insecticons.
While the line will probably focus on the mecha that weren't incorporated into Transformers, I think it'd be cool to see alternate interpretations of designs that were made into Transformers. Like a Powered Convoy that takes the base concept of a transforming truck(in this case updated to a modern semi-truck) that combines with a sci-fi trailer attachment, and do a whole different take on the Optimus/Ultra Magnus design. Or designs like Ironhide, instead of going the transformers route of making it a humanoid robot, it could be a more robotic piloted mecha. And then there's guys like Wheeljack, who's toy proportions were very different from the show. Toy Wheeljack looked like steel gorilla in robot mode. It'd be interesting if a Diaclone update took that a step forward, making him like a Star Ship troopers power armor
