Yeah, i feel ya bro. I find it ironic, that mcfarlane used to be known for its suberb sculpting and value, but now its overpriced poorly sculpted shit. Also, the lack of a fucking zombie in this wave triggers me, they better put a rucking second or third one in the following wave.

Bear with me here this, their sculpts are still amazing. But they are all digital these days. And mostly based off of 3d scan data. None of that data translates very well to a 3d printed 5" figure. When they sculpted stuff by hand they exaggerated features to make it work for that scale. The details on a real human face are very subtle when you shrink them down to a toy it doesn't register as anything, especially after you send it off for tooling that blurrs the finer details even more.

Nothing usually turns out right below 6" scale no matter what you try. Thats why everyone was pissed when they dropped the scale in 2008 to save on plastic.

It's the paint jobs that are fucking the toys over.
The sculpts themselves are really good and it's a damn fucking shame seeing them in person when you notice all the detail that gets obfuscated by the paint.
