What are state border checks like?
I'm moving from california into oregon, and bringing a bunch of reptiles with me. Nothing is actually illegal, but I don't want to deal with all the shit I would imagine i'd get going through a border check with a fuckload of exotic animals. Are there even checks? Is it only on major highways or are there other ways to go?

>in japan because bored and why not
>winter rolls in, my apartment gets really cold
>use translucent plastic as an insulator for easy ghetto warmth
>out buying plastic before winter sets in
>super qt3.14 cashier asks why I'm buying so much plastic
>tell her about my ghetto-ass window trick
>she's intrigued, asks if it works well, as her apartment gets cold too
>offer to help put up some plastic on her windows
>she agrees
>she actually fucking agrees to allow some random-ass american come over and help with an easy task
>fuckyeah.jpg
>go over to her apartment later that week
>put plastic on all of the windows in her apartment
>leave
>never saw her again

South and/or Central America

No.1045600 ViewReplyReportDelete
Hi /trv/,

My girlfriend and I are planning to go to Central/South America in January 2016. We have talked about quite a few different options, including Mexico, Ecuador & Galapagos, Peru or Argentina. We have three weeks, and none of us have been to that entire part of the world before. We don’t want to go too many places while we are there as spending time on going from a to b isn’t that fun. Taking the weather in to consideration are there any parts of the central and south America where it would not make sense to go?

Suggestions, recommendation and all in between would be greatly appreciated, both of us are from Denmark and we can’t wait to go to the last continent (besides the artic) we haven’t been to.

Also info on prostitution http://rockitreports.com/category/sex-in-tokyo/

Blue zones (longevity)

No.1046634 ViewReplyReportDelete
I don't know a better place to ask this question, so here goes.

The Blue zones of the world Okinawa japan
Sardinia Italy
Icaria Greece
Ect
Are regularly studied regarding what they eat and what they do for a living.

But I can't find anything documenting their hygine habits online anywhere.. I figure it'd be interesting to know how much these people bathe, what soaps they use if any.. toothpaste, shampoo, if it's common in those areas to clean your pooper with water rather than toilet paper. If they use mouthwash or any other products big companies want us to buy to improve our health

Funded travel opportunities

No.1046029 ViewReplyReportDelete
I wanted to create a thread where anons could share their experience of any times where they were able to travel for free or at a very low cost, maybe as a result of some sort of work placement or programme. Other than that I want to keep it pretty general, and hopefully it can help to inspire some ideas in anons who want to travel, but don't have a huge amount of money to spare.

How do you regard travelling as? Is it just "go to a country", or is it something more in depth?

I definitely think there's a difference with just visiting and actually travelling. Visiting is something to see the sights and have a good time, which of course you can also do while travelling. But I think real travelling requires you to at least acknowledge, if not appreciate and enjoy the different culture, history, and language of the region/country. Travelling is something to experience the world, not just see it.
Well, what do you think of travelling?

Proof of return ticket? Thailand?

No.1046540 ViewReplyReportDelete
I've never travelled outside the U.S. and am trying to plan a trip (45-60 days long or so) to SEA.

Internet tells me Thailand would be the best/most forgiving for a newfag like me.

I want to do a side trip to at least one other country (Cambodia? Laos? Vietnam?)

I understand that this overland side trip will "re-set" my 30 day visa for Thailand.

If I buy a round trip ticket out of Thailand with say 60 days between entry/exit will I be ok? Do I need to buy a return ticket within that 30 day window and then try and cancel it once I get there?

Why is the Thai website so unclear/shitty on this issue? I thought thousands of young people go there every year?

What do I do?
