In december I'm going to Miami with a friend for two weeks(I'm from Europe)
We have Some activities planned like visiting 2 Miami Heat games.

We still need to book a hotel. Of course there are a lot of hotels near the sea. But since we're not going to Miami to lay at the beach, would it make sense the book a hotel downtown?
I just want a cheap hotel since I won't be at the hotel a lot (just sleeping)

What place in Miami do you recommend for us to book a hotel?
Also any must sees?

in a week and a half I'm visiting NY/NY. I'll be alone for the first time, mostly just taking photos and exploring and whatnot. so far I've booked a helicopter photo tour with nyonair, bought a ticket for a bonobo dj set in brooklyn, and I'm staying in some artsy-bitch hostel in Queens. I'll also be taking a train to Buffalo on the second-to-last day. What are some cool places to go to and things to do in New York that won't just label me as a tourist?

Hey /trv/, would you happen to know what's the name of the city you see from the window? Might be the wrong board, but it's still better than /r/.

Cabo San Lucas

Trv/

My girlfriend has booked a weeks "vacation" in Medano Beach in Cabo for the middle of next month. I use the term vacation loosely because she needed to "redeem" her timeshare points or she faces losing the money she dumps into her timeshare membership (see SCAM) each month. I could continue to go on about timeshares but at this point I need your HELP.

Full Disclosure- I recently lost my job and the last thing I need to spend money on is a week in Cabo with my girlfriend...but I digress...

Here is where you come in...I need advice on how to spend frugally in order to make my money go the furthest possible at this American Tourist trap.
Any advice on which timeshare presentations to attend/avoid, thoughts on purchasing all inclusive accommodations, different types of can't miss excursions that are affordable, reasonably priced restaurants not too far off the beaten path (No habla Espanol), and probably most importantly how go about procuring a bag of cannabis.

This will be my first time in Cabo San Lucas, and I'm not sure what to expect after doing my reading on the inter-webs. Obviously I came to /trv/ to get the real story...Any advice will be appreciated...

Calling all Germanfags.

Me and my girlfriend have just moved to Berlin from the UK.

>In b4 muh immigrant crisis etc etc

Basically, neither of us speak much German, but we are learning it. We're currently renting out of an AirBnb in the south east but looking for work, experience in client/customer service.

Can anyone local or in Germany recommend types of work that might be available for a Native English speaker who speaks little German?

Hi /trv/
I'm planning to visit Riga in December, i heard it's a really beautiful city. I already visited other contries in northern Europe, but i've nevere been to Latvia.

I need information about:
- Weather: is December too cold? I'm not really worried about snow, but i just want to make sure that i can still visit the city no matter the weather
- Prices: is it as expensive as other countries like Finland and Sweden?
- Safety: is it a city that i can freely visit even at night-time or is it better to stick to the more turistic parts of town?

Thanks for all the other reccomendations

I've never been to any of these places, but will be taking a trip to all 3 starting the first week of November.
Anyone familiar with the roads, and best places to ride?
Good climbs, scenic scenery and whatnot...?

Hey
I've never been to this board before
My friend wants me and another friend to go with him on a road trip from Northern ohio to Wisconsin and back.
I'll probably say yes, but is there anything to do on the way?

Also I have no money I don't know why they want me to go lol

Have any of you guys ever been to Sao Tome and Principe? There seems to be so little information available on this place and I figure someone on here could possibly share some insight. Thanks in advance.
