What does /trv/ think of Sarajevo and BiH in general? I'm thinking of a March or April solo trip. Are the people as friendly as I've heard? Is it safe for a solo female? I know landmines are still a major issue and thus backwoods hiking is completely out of the question, but are guided hiking or snowshoeing tours a safe bet?

Hey /trv/ I'm a senior in hs and in the past year have realized what I really wanna become is the best linguist in the world. I'm getting closer to fluency in Deutsch and a few months ago I started Español. So I was wondering if anyone had tips, comments, or maybe wanna tell me why this could or couldn't be a useful trade in my future.

Anyone who has experience with travelling with horses? I'm a pretty decent rider and also have some experience with hiking for long times, and I'd love to one day combine them. I'm planning to work on a farm with horses in a few months to get more experience on caring for them, but I'll need more information I guess. So, anyone with experience who would like to inform me about things?

So I got the opportunity to go abroad to Munich, Germany for one school year. Some old guy I volunteer with at an animal shelter gave me a shit ton of money (I'll just say I can study abroad again and never worry about debt for school) from his savings because he to was fleeing the country. He chose me because his family are assholes who used him and I had heart for living things or something
Anyways, I have until August to get prepared. Besides obtaining a student visa, what other stuff should I prepare? I am already taking a German class at my community college for 2 semesters.

Hi /trv/, I'm going to Japan in 2 years for overseas study and I have to pick a university to be at. Which universities/cities would you recommend that aren't too intensive and offer a nice atmosphere?
The available ones i'm considering are ibaraki, osaka prefecture and chiba.

Suggestions of trips in Europe? The closer to Belgium the better.
Been to Paris, Amsterdan, Gent and Brugge already. Don't wanna go to Brussels.
I like nature, hiking, small towns. I'm thinking of the UK or Scotland
