What are your favorite and least favorite countries you've been too? For me:

Best:
Canada (Montreal) - I love that city, and could live there
Georgia - amazing food, beautiful
Japan - great food, amazing night clubs, great shops
Senegal - great, entertaining people, fun to adventure through the country
Scotland - beautiful, great music scene, nice people, fun hiking

So these have been pinned to palm trees and lampposts around SE Asia for the past 10 or so years. I grabbed one there two years ago drunk and forgot about it. Just found it at the bottom on my bag earlier.

Completely captivated by it. Anyone seen the same flyer? Ever heard of someone getting in contact. I've fired off an email to the guy because o want to write about it but we'll see whether he gets back.

I'd love it to be a true travelling offer, but more than likely an expensive tourist private boat tour dressed up like an adventure.

Can dream though!

I have roughly six hours in Singapore between flights but need to clear customs/collect luggage due to the way I've booked flights.

Is there enough time to leave the airport and see/do anything ? If so, what do you recommend ?

New Zealand: North Island, South Island or both?

No.1042968 ViewReplyReportDelete
I'm planning a trip to New Zealand and I'm not sure If I want to do just the north island, south island or both. I would be saving a good chunk of money if I did just one island. If I were to pick one island, I'm leaning towards the south because I've heard from a few people it's the only one worth doing. The problem is that I don't know when I'll ever be in this part of the world again. Is it worth shelling out extra money to do both islands, or should I just do one and save money for another trip? (I'm getting towards the end of a year long working holiday visa in Australia)

What's safer , Backpacking South America or Backpacking SEA? I don't want to get kidnapped by ISIS and get my death filmed in SEA and I don't want to get shot by Cartel in South America. Why is it so unsafe to travel nowadays. In 2008, almost everywhere was completely safe.

Also a third option for me would be Australia backpacking.

By next summer's end I'm looking to move to Seattle. It'll be my first time away from home outside of leaving the house for college. Any tips or things I should look out for?
