Going to the Philippines (Manila, Boracay for New Year's, Cebu, considering Palawan) for a couple months in starting in December. What should I expect?

I'm 6'0 even, /fit/ (otter mode w/ abs), white American w/ brown hair and blue eyes. I've heard I'll literally have to try to not get laid. Is that an exaggeration?

What are the odds of being attacked by one in Boracay or El Nido? Plan on swimming with some Whale Sharks in Cebu, do they range around there?

Can anyone recommend me good hotels for Manila, Cebu, and Boracay? Not really into the backpacker hostel thing, and I prioritize cleanliness and safety first and foremost.
