When you're there - leave your luggage/clothes/etc in the bathtub. If possible, hang from a shower rail. Stuff clothes into a garbage bag and leave it in the tub. Do not let your clothes lie on the floor overnight.
When you get back - treat everything in your luggage as contaminated. They and any eggs they've laid die after 30 minutes of 130F heat. So take your clothes, dirty or not, and throw them in the dryer on HIGH for at least one full cycle.
Killing one or two bedbugs that may have hitched a ride home with you is really easy. Killing one or two thousand a few months later when they're in your bedding, in the walls, behind every lamp socket, because you didn't take precautions, not so much.
