Is my travel plan possible?

I have been wanting to go to Taiwan for a pretty long time since I met a ton of friends who live there online. Seems like a really interesting place, and I feel like it's a good gateway to Asia.

I have about 6,000 saved up, and my plan was to rent a cheap as fuck airbnb room with a buddy (he's not sure he's going since he only has $3,000) and stay in it in taipei for like 20 days, and get to know the city. We both really wanted to tour around and get drunk every night since we are only 18.

After we stay in Taipei for a long time, we thought we'd backpack and take trains all around Taiwan and stay in hostels on the way, and see all of the nature, and go on long hikes etc. I'm honestly not sure how long it would take, and how much it would cost to do something like that.

A cheap Airbnb room wouldn't cost us more than $400 each.

After travelling around Taiwan we figured maybe we'd get another airbnb for like 10 days, and then fly to either Japan, China, or Hong Kong. My friend really wants to go to Japan, but he's poor so I feel like it would be WAY too expensive to travel there.

I was thinking it would be better to visit Shanghai and backpack around there. Maybe try to take a boat from Taiwan to a part of China, and then make our way through Fuzhou, Wenzhou, Hangzhou, until we get there. Not sure if there would possibly be a train or busses we could take. And not sure if those smaller places would have cheap accomodation for us?

Honestly not sure how much this could all cost overall. We plan on really stretching our money as much as possible, getting drunk is the only pleasure we plan on spending on. We are going to try to do as much as possible for free. We are also really into urban exploring, and climbing things, and we have some good filming equipment, so we might climb some buildings/construction sites.

Pic related, me and my mate, do you think we'll do ok in Asia? Thanks guys!
