Hey, /trv/ me and my friends (6 friends) are going to go on a road trip in about 4 years. What did we miss? Should we go to more places? Any tips?
Starting place - Kentucky
The place's we are going to in marked with the dots, We are spending a week in Seattle.

I also note you sometimes have drives that will last up to three days between "dots" where you are going -- fine, if you intend that, just know you can't pull out of New York after breakfast and arrive in Texas in time for supper.

why on earth would you circumvent Louisiana for Arkansas.

that line from texas needs to be redrawn to Louisiana, through Mississippi, to Nashville. Then over and up. Though, I'm assuming since you left those places out, you already have been there, or visit them on the reg due to your proximity

A quirky place to stop is Wall Drug, SD. They have these corny billboards two states away advertising free ice water.

The mountains in Montana are beautiful, probably my favorite state.

Carter's Mountain in Charlottesville, Virginia has a neat orchard. Apple cider donuts, etc. Really nice in the fall, if you go then.

Roswell, New Mexico is cool, half the buildings are alien/UFO themed.

Went to Fontenelle Forest in Nebraska this summer as I passed through, also highly recommend.

Utah's alright. I loved Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake. Neat insects there (brine flies) - they're thousands of them that fly away and make these wicked shockwaves as you walk near them. Nice view of the sunset.
Highly recommend for camping.

There's an aviary downtown in Salt Lake City that was nice too. Some dude flying a quadcopter outside too lol.
